Filip – I’m sorry that it has taken this long for me to contact you regarding my trip to Croatia. Perhaps it is because I lack words to properly express how truly exceptional it was. It was such a personal journey for me to visit the place where my Grandparents were born and all I can say is that I wish my Mother could have been there in person, however, I did take pictures of her and her brother with me. Having a small group of people on the tour gave us the opportunity to get to know our driver and the tour director and have great discussions about the history of the country as well as knowing that we were in capable hands. I became very fond of both of them and cannot say enough good things about them each in a different way. He is a very patient and excellent driver and we felt so safe with him at the wheel and Mari was so good natured and helpful. Together they make a great team and we enjoyed them thoroughly. I have done some traveling but this trip was clearly very special in so many ways. I just simply do not have words to describe the feeling that I came away with. I think Croatia is now in my heart. It is a small country with so many natural resources. Great beauty, culture, food, and people.

I just wanted to thank you for all your help arranging our trip to Croatia in May. We were very happy with the trip and would not hesitate to recommend it to any of our friends who may want to take a similar trip. May was a beautiful time to go as the temperatures were around 18-22 degrees each day and we had beautiful blue skies. It was lovely for touring around. Apparently they had a rainy spring this year and up to the week before we arrived the weather was still wet so we got really lucky!

Flawless! Fabulous! We absolutely loved Croatia. You did an outstanding job in arranging everything and meeting — actually, exceeding — our expectations. We especially enjoyed our tour guides in Split and during our trip to Bosnia. The Hotel Amfora in Hvar was like paradise and the hotel Grand Villa Argentina in Dubrovnik was elegant and conveniently located. We have traveled extensively over the years, but this tour tops it all.  You guys at Jauntee need to expand to other destination so we can continue traveling with you and having such amazing trips.  Great hiking on Lake Bled and Plitvice Lakes, definitely worth every minute of the time spent there. All the hotels were charming and lovely.  Your driver is such a nice and helpful guy. And the tour director was very warm, personable, and knowledgeable.  She was always doing something special for us.  One day she took us to for lunch to her friend’s house in Samobor.  That was the most delicious meal with great company, and good wine, too! We arrived back late last night and wanted to let you know we had a fantastic trip. Your suggestions for activities, accommodations and sights were perfect. In hindsight, i think the itinerary was the perfect way to see a good orientation to your beautiful country. Thank you for all of your efforts. It was an amazing vacation. I thought you might be interested in getting some feedback on some of the specifics of our experience for use with future travelers. As I mentioned, ALL of the connections and logistical considerations were executed flawlessly. The Hotel Astoria in Zagreb is nicely newly renovated and is located within walking distance to everything. The front desk staff were great, especially when I needed some assistance with delayed luggage. A half day in Zagreb was perfect for getting a feel for the city and resting after the long flights. We were all rested and ready to go when the driver picked us up the following morning. Plitvice Lakes was lovely and I am very glad we asked to make it part of our itinerary. I must have taken 200 photos there alone. The drive from there to Split was about 3.5 hours and we were settled in the Hotel Park by 7:00. Enough time to unpack, enjoy a drink outside and walk down to the Riva for dinner. The Hotel Park’s rooms are fine; clean and functional. It looks like a recent investment in the lawn and patio area outside the hotel was a wise investment. It is a beautiful setting for a pre and after dinner drink as well as breakfast.

Choosing an evening walking tour in both Split and Dubrovnik were the right choices. The weather was very very hot and I don’t think we would have been able to enjoy the tour in the heat of the afternoon. The evening walking tour also gave us the chance to scope out places for drinks and dinner afterwards. Hvar was magical and I think I could retire there tomorrow. I am also thrilled we switched from the Hotel Riva to the Amfora. The Riva has more intimate charm that the Amfora but the use of the pool and the beach at the Amfora were ideal. It was nice to be able to get away from the hassle and bustle of the marina area too. The strolls to and from the hotel for dinner were easy and very pleasant. The hike and sailing trip were FANTASTIC. We were lucky to have a cloudy day for the hike which made the six hour hike more pleasurable. Our guide Vese (I think) was a delight and their whole operation seemed great. The sailing trip to Vis was also a ton of fun. Our skipper Ricardo was good fun and the sights and luncheon were truly memorable. He even extended out day and took us to a beach club called carpe diem beach club and then dropped us off at our hotel. A great great day. The 6:30 a.m. ferry from Hvar to Split came early but we were glad we did it because it allowed us to arrive in Dubrovnik around lunch time. We met up with the guide for another evening city tour followed by dinner. She was very good. (Have I mentioned we drank and ate a lot?). We wrapped up the tour with a guided tour around the walls then drinks and dinner in a square. We spoke with Mariana twice while in Dubrovnik. She was very very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I am glad you provided us with a local contact. She also adjusted our transfer time to the Dubrovnik airport on the last day to allow us to get a bit of extra sleep. Sorry for the long email, but wanted to give you my thoughts before I forget them. As I said, it was a super trip and your work on our itinerary and the seemingly thousands of small logistical details ensured a care-free and very memorable trip. I will be thrilled to recommend you and Jauntee to others who are considering a Croatia trip.

I just wanted to say “thanks, Maya” for all the preparation you did for our “Admiral Jimmy trip” to Croatia. We had a wonderful time—made so much better by your fantastic travel connections and hotels. Every transfer was “on time” or there before the stated time, each hotel was delightful, and, though the trip over and back is exhausting, all flight connections were made. We almost missed the Croatian Air flight on the way over due to a two hour delay in Washington/Dulles but when we arrived in Frankfort, the airlines folks met us as we left the plane, took us by bus to the Croatian Air check-in, got boarding passes and took us back to the steps of the plane for the flight to Split. All told, we were in Frankford less than 30 minutes and the airplane left the ground ten minutes after we boarded. But luggage made it all the way and back. We had a great sail and loved your native land, particularly the islands we saw which included Solta, St. Klement, Korcula, Vis, Sipan, and some others. Again—thank you for a very memorable vacation.

Dear Filip, I wanted to let you know that the Mediterranean Society’s trip to Croatia was a great success! Our flights to and from Croatia were uneventful and we arrived on time with our luggage. The hotels you chose for us were excellent. They were all in good locations and the rooms were nice. We especially liked the Hotel Niko in Zadar (our favorite), the Hotel Fontana in Trogir and the Hotel Scaletta in Pula. The food at the hotels ranged from good to excellent. The 40 passenger bus was very comfortable for traveling and the large windows in the bus were especially good for viewing the spectacular scenery and taking pictures. Our guide in Croatia, Branka, and our bus driver, Djani, are both wonderful and contributed greatly to the success of our trip. Branka is a very organized and caring person. She made sure that everything on the trip went smoothly. She would call to make sure the local guides were waiting when we arrived at our destinations and that the hotels were ready for us. She took care of any problems or issues immediately. On our bus rides, she would comment on the parts of the country we passed through and she even taught us some Croatian. She is a joy to work with. Thank you so much for choosing Branka to be our guide. She really made our trip smooth and enjoyable. Our bus driver, Djani, is also excellent. He is a good driver and was very helpful to some of the older people on the trip who needed assistance. Branka and Djani are a good team. Thank you for planning such a great trip!

Dear all at Jauntee — We would just like to thank you for organizing an amazing private tour of Croatia for us. Our driver Zlatko and our guide Mariana showed us the best of Croatia in a very unique way. Two weeks ago we have returned to Santiago (Chile) after a wonderful trip to Rome, Croatia and Prague. We stayed two weeks in the country of my parents. It was my sixth travel. After meeting my relatives in Zagreb and Omis, including a stay in Zadar, we had the Adriatic Breeze Cruise on the Adriatic Dalmatian coast, which was gorgeous. The ship Liberty is brand new, very comfortable (spacious cabins, sundeck and jacuzzi) and the biggest of the company. The crew is very friendly and efficient in their service. The food of the restaurant, mainly Croatian, is of high quality and abundant. The passengers, were nice people for talking, joking and exchange experience of life. The shuttle vehicle to take us to Split airport very early in the morning of September 17 arrived on time to pick us up. Many thanks.

I loved everything! Thanks so much. Everything went so smoothe. I had the most fun in Hvar, Korcula and Mljet. I loved the small towns with a tour and being on the small yacht so much that we think we would like to vacation in the Mediteranean next summer also. Filip, please prepare a trip for us to Corsica and/or Sardinia with a small yacht or sail boat for 4-7 days. Our timing would probably be the same, leave NY Wed. Our trip was wonderful. Croatia is a beautiful country and the people are fabulous. The hotels you found for us were fabulous and I really appreciated you moving us from Amfora, the Ariana was sooo nice and we loved the massages.

We found a lovely beach in Palmizana and had a spectacular lunch at Zori. The rental car worked out perfectly and really appreciated the person awaiting our ferry. It gave us time to stop in Mali Ston, Marjorie and I both crave oysters so we tried them every way possible. Although I thought the best was the cake with the pasta we had at Bota, stonski makaruli, I have to find that recipe (in english). Feel free to send me a source or link. And the Excelsior was just wonderful, I am running out of words to describe.

I hope I can be sending you others in the near future. You really made our trip so easy that all we thought about was food and leisure activities!

We have just returned from the Croatian Islands small group tour. Wow!  Where do we start to describe how awesome this trip was… Spending our summer vacation with a couple of our friends and other fellow travelers on this tour exceeded all of our expectations. There was eleven of us on this tour and we experienced so much through local sightseeing tours and learned about the country from our tour director and through meeting with friendly and warm local people, but we also had enough time to relax on the beach, browse the local markets and do some interesting shopping. The day spent on a sailing trip to Vis island was absolutely gorgeous. We are so glad we chose Jauntee for our trip to Croatia, everything was perfectly organized and everyone was so thoughtful.  Thank you Jauntee for a wonderful experience.

Thank you so much for two extraordinary weeks in Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Montenegro! The Palette of the Adriatic tour was impeccable; our driver and tour director were fun and caring, the guides were very knowledgeable and interesting, hotels were luxurious with beautiful rooms and amazing views. We love art and enjoyed the visit to the galleries in Zagreb and Rovinj, as well as the tour of Istrian countryside and the great cooking class in Dubrovnik. The best part was that none of these activities were even on our itinerary. We got to see and do so much more than what was included on this tour. We will definitely recommend the luxury Palette of the Adriatic tour to all of our friends and family.

Jauntee arranged a fabulous tour for me and my 3 friends last September. When our flights were delayed many hours, the Jauntee rep was still waiting for us at the Zagreb airport to transfer us to our hotel. The hotel fed us a private five course meal, even though their dining room had closed. We were so appreciative after flying 22 hours. Our tour guide Jelena was a wonderful guide who became a friend.  Thank you Jauntee!

We just returned from our honeymoon & must say WOW! Thank you for ALL of your support & assistance throughout the planning. The hotels were exceptional, the service was wonderful. From our driver in Split to the staff at the Hotel Bellevue, we were incredibly impressed. We had room upgrades & champagne at almost each stop. The half day sailing trip was delightful, each tour guide was very knowledgeable.

We all thank you for making the arrangements for our Baskett group of 22! Everyone had a wonderful time. One of my nephews said he thought the trip would be great, but it was twice that great! Our visit in Prague went as planned. Beverly’s three and Andrew had a great time in Sweden. They all biked and camped on one of the islands. The Kourys enjoyed Italy, and got to hear the Pope speak while they were in Rome. Mariana did a great job, and worked with our schedule. The drivers were all good and took good care of us. We loved the hotel in Split—what views!  Thank you.

The entire vacation was absolutely awesome and went smoothly and so much better
than we even dreamed. Our drivers were all young, handsome, intellligent & entertaining. In short, it was a trip of a lifetime.Every city was so charming & delightful and yet different from each other. I just wanted you to know that we had the time of our lives thanks to you, the wonderful driver, all the guides, and wonderful hotels we stayed in. We took our family vacation to Croatia this summer and we had a blast!  Croatia was more than we ever expected and our kids  (ages 5, 11 and 17) had a great time.  We are an active family so Maya at Jauntee planned an active vacation for us including a lot of biking, river rafting, hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, and sailing.  We started in Venice and took a boat over to Rovinj.  Then we traveled along the Dalmatian coast all the way to Dubrovnik, and even took an excursion to St. Stefan in Montenegro.   Jauntee  organized a private yacht for our island hopping, and that was just  awesome!  We absolutely loved Hvar, Brac and Mljet, and we are so grateful that we found Jauntee.  Their agents have so much knowledge about Croatia, Italy and all of Europe — they all know the countries inside and out and we felt confident booking with them and traveling with them. They were also very friendly and had a lot of patience with us from the day we started planning our trip until we returned home from our vacation!  Their team in Croatia was amazing, too!  We already recommended Jauntee to many of our friends.
