Set sail towards Bol, a small town on Island Brač, for a swim at the Golden Horn. Enjoy the 1740-foot-long golden pebble beach, said to be the best in Croatia. It is unique in that it changes shape and position depending on the winds. Afterwards head to Hvar, one of the most popular islands in the Adriatic and a meeting point for the international jet set. The “Croatian Madeira” is also one of the longest islands stretching along the shores of Croatia. Spend evening and night at Stari Grad, one of the oldest towns in Europe. (B, L)

Quick sail towards town of Hvar for a sightseeing tour featuring the first public theater in Europe (older than Shakespeare’s theatre in the UK), the Franciscan Monastery and many more historical sights. Day 4: Vis/Vela Luka

After breakfast set sail for Korčula Island, thought to be the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. Our port of call for the day is Vela Luka (the “big harbor”) town, dating back to pre-historic times. We will see a valuable archaeological collection of objects on display in the Culture Centre Museum that have been found in the nearby “Vela spilja”, the cave that has been continuously inhabited from the early Stone Age (about 20 000 BC), through the Iron Age and Copper Age. (B, L)

Day 5: Vela Luka/Korčula

There will be some time for swimming before we continue our cruise, heading for Korčula town Take a walking tour through its narrow, cobbled streets and visit the majestic Gothic Baroque Cathedral of St. Mark. Your evening is free to discover the town and enjoy dinner on your own at one of many local restaurants. (B, L)

Day 6: Korčula/Mljet

Today we set sail for Mljet Island. Mljet National Park encompasses five types of forest, many species of birds, and two deep lakes, Veliko Jezero (Big Lake) and Malo Jezero (Small Lake). This lovely island was supposedly a favorite holiday spot for the Greek hero Ulysses! Captain’s dinner aboard our ship tonight. (B, L, D)
