Day 1, Arrive Prague

You will be met and transferred to your hotel.  Experience a once in a lifetime dinner with folklore in a local restaurant. Overnight in Prague. (D)



Day 2, Prague

Today you will begin your tour in the celebrated Old Town.  Visit the Old Town Square and journey back in time to the XII century and feel the history all around you.  Stand in awe at the famous Astronomical Clock built in the XV century, the Jewish Quarter and St. Nicholas Church.  The rest of the day is at leisure.  Take an option visit inside the Old Town Square Hall and climb to the top for exquisite views of the city.  Walk across the beautiful Charles bridge and stop to take pictures along the side.  Experience the cuisine in a traditional restaurant and don’t forget to try the local favorites.  Tonight, enjoy an opera performance.  Overnight in Prague. Day 3, Prague

Your tour of Prague continues with a journey across the Vltava River to visit the Royal Castle of Hradčany, the largest castle in the world.  What began as a wooden fortress is now an imposing structure which housed the most powerful rulers of the time.  Also visit the Cathedral of St. Vitus, Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica which houses a collection of Renaissance and Baroque art. Finish the tour today with a visit to Golden Lane and view the houses built into the castle wall and Daliborka Tower built in the XV century. Your afternoon and evening are at leisure. Make an optional visit to the Toy Museum or one of the many nearby palaces that now hold military museums, art museums or government buildings.  Find a cozy restaurant to savor a flavorful meal or head to a pub and order off the “Proti velké Žízeni” menu to go with your hearty Czech beer. Overnight in Prague. Day 4, Prague/Vienna

Travel by motor coach to Vienna, the “City of Waltz”. The rest of the day is free. Dinner tonight will be in a typical local Heurigen restaurant. Overnight in Vienna. (B, D)



Day 5, Vienna

On your morning sightseeing tour, visit the Hofburg Palace, once the seat of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.  Also visit the Belvedere Palace and relax on in its pristine gardens.  Continue to the Prater amusement park, the UN buildings and St. Stephen’s Cathedral which will send you back in time.  After a free afternoon, enjoy an evening concert of Strauss’ and Mozart’s music to soak up the culture of the city.  Overnight in Vienna. Day 6, Vienna

Today you will take a guided tour of the Kunsthistorische Museum.  View its extensive Egyptian and Near Eastern Collection, Greek and Roman antiquities and vast collection of Arms and Armor.  The Picture Gallery housed here was developed from the collection from the House of Hapsburg and contains paintings from major artists like Tintoretto, Jan van Eyck and Renaissance painter Albrecht Durer. The afternoon and evening is yours. Attend an optional concert or attend the famous Vienna Boys Choir performance.  Make an optional visit to view some modern art in the Austrian Museum of Modern Art.  For a more relaxing excursion, take a trip to Kahlenbery or Leopoldsberg to enjoy spectacular views of the city on your last evening in Vienna.  Overnight in Vienna. Day 7, Vienna/Budapest

After breakfast, transfer to the airport.
