Begin your tour of Italy in Venice, and discover everything this amazing city has to offer. Continue to Florence, a city renowned for its art and fashion. Enjoy Rome, the eternal city that will amaze you with its ancient buildings and romantic cobblestone streets. Travel to the stunning Amalfi Coast to Sorrento and explore the island of Capri. Each destination will have tours designed to give you a glimpse into culture and history of the cities. You will be able to see as much of Italy and its charm as possible during your stay in this beautiful country.

Day 1: Venice

Upon arrival at Venice Airport, transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight. People see it as the world’s most romantic city, a delightful maze of fine palaces, monumental churches, galleries stuffed with amazing works and excellent restaurants. Overnight in Venice. (D)


Day 2: Venice

Start your sightseeing tour of the romantic city of Venice with a walking tour of St. Mark’s Square where you will also visit the splendid St. Mark’s Basilica. Continue to the Doge’s Palace, and view the Bell Tower and Bridge of Sighs. You will also be able to see how traditional Venetian glass is made at a glass blowing factory.  The rest of the day is at leisure. Take an optional boat ride to the islands of Burano and Murano or take a ride in a gondola through the secret canals of Venice. Overnight in Venice. (B)

Day 3: Venice/Pisa/Florence

Start the day with an orientation tour with your Tour Director in the picturesque town of Ferrara. Continue to the city of Pisa to view the famous Piazza del Miracoli.  View the Baptistery, Duomo and the famous Leaning Tower and gasp in wonder at how it’s still standing.  End your day with dinner in the romantic city of Florence.  Overnight in Florence. Day 4: Florence

Your full day in Florence will include a visit to the Academy of Fine Arts, where Michelangelo’s David is displayed.  A walking tour of the city will include the majestic Piazza del Duomo where you will see the Cathedral crowned by Brunelleschi’s Dome, the Giotto’s Bell Tower, and the Baptistery with Ghiberti’s bronze “Gate of Paradise”. Your tour ends atop Piazzale Michelangelo with a view of the entire city of Florence. The rest of the day is at leisure to independently savor the renaissance splendor of the Tuscan capital. Optional shopping trip to the San Lorenzo market to buy gifts to bring home or visit the Ponte Vecchio bridge known for its beautiful jewelry and marvelous views of the city. Overnight in Florence. Day 5: Florence/Rome

Travel to Assisi for a walking tour of this beautiful town in Umbria.  Walk through the main square and visit the famous Basilica of St. Francis. Don’t forget to take plenty of pictures of the gorgeous landscapes of the Umbrian countryside. Continue to Rome for dinner and overnight. Overnight in Rome. (B & D)


Day 6: Rome

Today you will be able to visit the legendary Colosseum, ancient Palatine Hill overlooking the Circus Maximus and the Imperial Palace.  You will walk through the  Roman Forum where ancient Romans used to congregate. Continue to the extensive Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica on the opposite side of Rome and walk through the Sistine Chapel known for its beautifully painted ceiling. Dinner is on your own tonight so be sure to try the famous Italian cuisine and don’t forget the gelato! Overnight in Rome. (B & L)

Day 7: Rome

Your tour director will have suggestions on how to spend your full free day in Rome.  Walk to the historic center of Rome and visit Piazza Navona, the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. You can enjoy taking photos at the Spanish Steps, walking down the narrow cobblestone streets or relaxing in a sidewalk cafe – there are endless possibilities in an enchanting city like Rome. Overnight in Rome. Day 8: Rome/Pompeii/Sorrento

Depart Rome and travel toward down the coast towards Sorrento. En route, stop to visit Pompeii, the Roman city destroyed by an eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Discover the city that was frozen in time by a volcanic eruption. Overnight in Sorrento. (B & D)


Day 9: Sorrento/Capri/Sorrento

Today you will take a short ferry ride to the island of Capri.  You will be able to enjoy views of the beautiful blue waters and the famous Faraglioni Rocks from the Gardens of Caesar Augustus.  Walk through the narrow streets and check out the shops or talk an optional trip to Anacapri on the other side of the Island for more stunning views. Overnight in Sorrento. Day 10: Sorrento

Enjoy full day at leisure to explore Sorrento independently.  Your tour guide will suggest how to spend your time.  Make sure to visit the unique shops in this charming town to see the beautiful brightly colored ceramics unique to the region.  Or take an optional trip to a nearby town such as Positano or Amalfi to fully immerse yourself in the stunning beauty of the Amalfi coast.  Dinner is on your own so be sure to try the local cuisine known for its fresh fish and mouthwatering ingredients. Overnight in Sorrento.  Day 11: Sorrento

After breakfast, the tour ends with transfer to Naples Airport.
