This nine day tour will guide you through the Poland, the Czech Republic and Austria.  This amazing tour will give you a historical and cultural insight to the enchanting cities of Warsaw, Krakow, Prague & Vienna.  This is a great tour for those who enjoy discovering the cities on their own

Your tour begins in Warsaw, the capital of Poland which sits on the banks of the mighty Vistula River.  Take the Royal Route from magnificent Castle Square to Łazienki Park and Palace, where you will be able to enjoy the beautiful nature of Warsaw’s largest park.  Make sure you enjoy all this amazing city has to offer by trying a traditional meal at a local restaurant.

Continue to Prague on Vltava River, cross the majestic Charles Bridge and walk through the charming old quarter of Prague to view the Jewish Ghetto, the Town Hall and the world famous Astronomical Clock.  End your tour in Austria’s gorgeous capital of Vienna, find out everything about this country’s imperial history. Make sure to enjoy the beautiful architecture and sample Viennese pastry in one of the excellent local cafes.

Day 1, Warsaw

When you arrive in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. There is plenty of time to relax before meeting your fellow travelers and tour director for dinner. Overnight in Warsaw. (D)



Day 2, Warsaw

Your day will be filled with a sightseeing tour of Poland’s capital.  Since the next UEFA European Soccer competition will be held here in 2012, the city is making a tremendous transformation to prepare for this exciting time.  You will take a walking tour of the historic part of the city through Old Town, Old Market Square and St. John’s Cathedral, built in the XIV century and known for its looming arches.  You will drive along the famous Royal Route from magnificent Castle Square to Łazienki Park and Palace, summer residence of the last king of Poland which is now a beautiful park. Continue on to the Palace of Science and Culture (known as a “wedding cake”), the Saxon Gardens, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Monument to the Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto and the Barbican. Enjoy the rest of the day as you please, relax, browse the shops and cafes, or attend an optional late afternoon Chopin concert. Overnight in Warsaw. (B)

Day 3, Warsaw/Krakow

This morning you will travel to Czestochowa.  Thousands of people travel here every year to visit the Pauline or Yasna Gora Monastery, known for the blackened picture of St. Mary, popularly called the “Black Madonna”. In the afternoon, there is the option to travel to one of the most somber memorials of the past, Auschwitz.  End your day by traveling to Krakow.  Overnight in Krakow. (B, D)

Day 4, Krakow

Your first day in Krakow will start with a visit to the Wawel Hill on the left bank of the Vistula River.  The Royal Castle and Royal Cathedral are places of great significance to the Polish people and visiting these sites will give you an insight to Polish heritage.  Enjoy a walking tour of the Old Town where you will visit the Main Market Square, Renaissance Cloth Hall and St. Mary’s Church famous for its hand carved wooden alter and the model for many other important Polish churches. The afternoon is free for a stroll around the city to enjoy the shops or a museum.  Try a local restaurant for an intimate dinner and a chance to try traditional Polish cuisine. Overnight in Krakow. Day 5, Krakow/Prague

After a drive through the gorgeous Polish countryside, cross the borders of Slovakia and enter the romantic Czech Republic. Continue on to the unforgettable city of Prague, with its Baroque churches, promenades, parks and ancient city walls. Make sure you take in the beauty of this city by strolling through its narrow streets at dusk. Overnight in Prague. (B, D)


Day 6, Prague

Prague was built on seven hills more than 1000 years ago and is spread over both banks of the Vltava river.  It is one of the most strikingly beautiful cities in Europe. Your city tour starts with a panoramic drive to the famous Wenceslas Square, the Strahov Stadium and the Castle Square. On a walking tour, visit the Royal Castle of Hradčany which is the largest ancient castle in the world.  Continue with the Cathedral of St. Vitus, Old Royal Palace and St. George’s Basilica which is now a charming concert hall.  You will view Golden Lane with Daliborka Tower where its first prisoner learned to play the violin in his lonely solitude.  Later, cross the Charles Bridge and walk through the old quarter of Prague to view the Jewish Ghetto, the Town Hall and the world famous Astronomical Clock which has been ticking since 1490.   An optional visit to a cultural performance will be available to you to take in as much of the culture as possible. The rest of the day is yours free to visit all Prague has to offer.  Stop by the Estates theatre where Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” premiered in 1834. Make sure to try the local cuisine and enjoy a hearty Czech beer at a local pub. Overnight in Prague. (B)

Day 7, Prague/Vienna

Today you will travel to one of Europe’s loveliest cities, Vienna, the “City of Waltz”.  Try the local cuisine tonight by stopping in a Heurigen, a traditional Viennese wine tavern.  Make sure to end your dinner with a world famous Viennese pastry and coffee. Overnight in Vienna. (B)


Day 8, Vienna

Today visit the Belvedere Palace and admire its gorgeous and elaborate interiors and beautifully kept green gardens.   Continue to the famous Hofburg Palace, once the seat of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and home to the most powerful Austrians throughout history.   Later visit the Prater amusement park, the UN buildings and the majestic St. Stephen’s Cathedra.  Enjoy your final afternoon of the tour at leisure to visit museums, check out the chic boutiques or relax in a café.  Tonight there is a farewell dinner in a local restaurant to say goodbye to beautiful Vienna. Overnight in Vienna. Day 9, Vienna

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
