Satisfied Clients

Our trip to Croatia, and the entire peninsula, was fantastic, more so than we anticipated, thanks to your special knowledge and attention.  We can’t speak highly enough of Jauntee Travel Group.  And your driver deserves an additional thanks for careful driving.

Wine-tasting in the Countryside & Visit to Samobor

Wine tasting & Samobor │ Day Trip from Zagreb  │ Private │ Guided │ Full Day │ From $70

Take a short drive to Samobor in the company of your driver guide.  Often called a little Venice, Samobor is a charming town situated at the foot of the mountain Samobor in the close vicinity of the Croatian capital Zagreb. Stroll through the beautiful parks alongside Gradna River, climb up to the vintage point called Steel tower and breathe in the mountain-fresh air. Admire the stunning views of Zagreb and Samobor old town fort built in the XII century. Visit the town’s main square and view its beautiful buildings. Stop at the well-known family owned cafe for a mouth-watering kremšnita, a must-try town dessert.

Continue to Plešivica Hills, visit small family wineries and taste the local wines or opt in for a dinner at one of the small family owned restaurants offering excellent gourmet specialties.

Jastrebarsko and Jaska region are very close to the capital of Zagreb (less than 20 miles away), but they offer a vastly different lifestyle with the slow, hustle and bustle free rhythm. This region was once home to prominent Croatian aristocrats with their manors, parks and summer villas, and is famous for Plešivica wine road, great restaurants and the picturesque Sveta Jana valley. Plešivica wine road boasts beautiful vistas, many family owned wineries of the highest qualities.  Although north-western Croatia is fairly cold compared to some other Croatian regions, the surroundings of Croatia’s capital – Zagreb, offers excellent terroirs for production of quality wines.  The hillsides of Plesivica, located less than 20 miles south from the bustling city, are an ecological oasis whose characteristics make it possible for locals of Zagreb and visitors to enjoy exquisite wines.   Taste some of the best local Grasevina, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Blanc as well as Portugieser, Pinot Noir and other local wines at up to three local wineries.  Enjoy a complimentary lunch at one of the local restaurants so you can have a complete taste of Plesivica hills before you head back to Zagreb.
