Our trip to Croatia, and the entire peninsula, was fantastic, more so than we anticipated, thanks to your special knowledge and attention.  We can’t speak highly enough of Jauntee Travel Group.  And your driver deserves an additional thanks for careful driving.

Trogir & Zadar

Zadar │ Day Trip from Split  │ Private │ Guided │ Full Day │ From $75

Your private English-speaking driver will pick you up at the time and location of your choice in Split and will take you on an unforgettable full day experience to the city of Zadar. First, we will make a short stop in the charming Trogir for a stroll around this harmonious stone town situated on a small island that is connected to the mainland and the island of Čiovo by bridges. Admire the small, narrow streets and small village squares, restaurants, cafes, galleries, along with various cultural and music open air events that give this town a special ambiance of the Mediterranean.

We continue our inspirational drive to the 3000-year-old Zadar, a northern Dalmatian coast city often called the capital of Dalmatia with rich architectural legacy & spiritual culture. Accompanied by your professional English-speaking local guide, visit the Cathedral of St. Stošia (St. Anastasia) dating from 1285 A.D., where paintings of Carpaccio and Palma Jr. are exhibited. Next, experience the Roman Forum and pre-Romanesque church of St. Donat (dating from 9th century A.D.), the massive city gate and Square of Wells, the Church of St Simon, and the permanent exhibition “Gold and Silver of Zadar.”

Spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the city at your own pace. Continue exploring Zadar’s many historic treasures, but also remember to shop for all sorts of fine local souvenirs. Discover The Sea Organ — combination of art, musical architecture and science project. Under stone steps, which disappear into the water, 35 pipes continually blow the notes of an unpredictable concert based on the sea’s undulations and the ensuing air pressure.

Spend the evening dining at one of Zadar’s local konoba while looking out to the Riva, the seaside promenade on the western side, where families, lovers and locals walk, gossip and assemble for Zadar’s sunsets. In a city with the most beautiful sunset, in a maritime archipelago facing a multitude of islands and islets, which protect the city from the strong winds, enjoy the symphony of the Sea Organ and magical urban light installation Greeting the Sun. Evening return to Split.
