The tour begins in Zagreb, Croatia, and continues to Sarajevo and Mostar in Bosnia. Finally it ends in Dubrovnik with a full excursion to the Bay of Kotor, St. Stefan, Cetinje and Budva in Montenegro. Overall, this is a great affordable itinerary that can be combined with a pre-tour extension in Zagreb or a post tour extension in Dubrovnik to get a more in-depth look into these cities. Spend a couple of extra days in Dubrovnik and relax on one of its beautiful beaches on the Dalmatian coast. Day 1, Zagreb

Upon arrival you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The day is at leisure until a welcome dinner. Overnight in Zagreb. (D)



Day 2, Zagreb

This morning, Zagreb will charm you with its abundance of rich cultural heritage that dates back to the medieval days. We will stroll past baroque-style mansions and baronial residences, and admire the beautifully crafted facades. In the company of your local expert, we will visit the symbol of Zagreb, St. Mark’s church in the Upper Town, which houses the remarkable works of Ivan Meštrović, its most famous sculptor. Come to the Lotrščak Tower and inhale this most beautiful view of the city. The attractions here are plentiful, the culture, quite mesmerizing. There will be enough time for a delicious fresh baked pastry and a cup of excellent coffee in one of the side walk cafes in Gornji Grad. Or dine on some great home-made cheese and wine as you chat with friendly locals at Dolac, the lively open air market.The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the winding streets of the old town or take an optional excursion to the countryside. Day 3, Zagreb/Sarajevo

Journey south, out of Croatia to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. After checking in at the hotel, relax and enjoy dinner. Overnight in Sarajevo. (B)



Day 4, Sarajevo/Mostar/Dubrovnik

On your city tour today you will visit the picturesque Turkish bazaar “Baš Čaršija”.  Enjoy sampling the regions flavors and meeting the locals.  Nest visit the Husref Bay’s Mosque, a symbol of the city’s Turkish and Ottoman influence.  Also view the Olympic Stadium and Sarajevo Gavrilo Princip Museum. Then, continue your trip through the mountains and along the gorge of the Neretva River to Mostar. In this medieval town see the remains of the Turkish quarter and the reconstruction efforts on the XVI century stone bridge. Travel on to Dubrovnik this evening. Overnight in Dubrovnik. (B)

Day 5, Dubrovnik

Today you can stretch your legs and discover a new city with a walking tour of “Old Dubrovnik”.  Visit the Rector’s Palace, Bell Tower Clock and Orlando’s Column which was the symbol of Croatia’s independence from the Venetians in 972.  Also visit the Dominican Monastery and Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy, one of the oldest in the world and continually used.  Finally visit the Sponza Palace before enjoying the rest of the day at leisure. You can take an optional visit to the Stradun, or Placa, the longest and widest street in the city or one of the towers surrounding the city which was never actually used due to the skilled Croatian diplomats. Overnight in Dubrovnik. Day 6, Dubrovnik/Montenegro/Dubrovnik

Travel to the Republic of Montenegro. Head towards the alluring Bay of Kotor, the longest and deepest fjord in Southern Europe. This is truly a unique and marvelous sight.  See the little towns of Risan and Kotor which sit on its banks and appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds them.  Then proceed to Cetinje, once the Old Royal Capital of Montenegro, today a city-museum. It was founded in the XV century and was once the bustling center of Montenegrin life.  After the sightseeing in Cetinje, travel to the coast for a short stop in the picturesque villages of Sveti Stefan and Budva before returning to Dubrovnik for your final evening of the tour.  Enjoy a farewell dinner and share your most memorable parts of the tour. Overnight in Dubrovnik. (B, D)

Day 7, Dubrovnik

After breakfast you will be transferred to Dubrovnik airport for your flight home.
