Arrive in Split and spend your afternoon walking through this magnificent city. There is a sightseeing tour of the city where you will view the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple and the Cathedral. Visit the majestic palace of the Emperor Diocletian and marvel in its antiquity. The palace is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and is known for its architecture. Experience the Peristil, a public meeting place within the palace walls which becomes an open air stage in the summer when the Split Summer Festival takes place. Relax in your hotel before sampling some of the local cuisine at dinner. Overnight in Split.
Transfer to the beautiful island of Brač. Visit the tiny fishing village of Bol to lounge on the famous “Golden Horn” one of the best and most unique beaches in Croatia. Made up of tiny pebbles, this beach juts out into the sea. Relax in the Mediterranean sun or warm seas. If you want a more private location seek out a secluded cove or stretch of beach all to yourself. You also have the option to take a private sailing trip around the island and spend the day on the sparkling blue waters and even try wind surfing! For the more adventurous type try hiking up to the highest peak in Croatia the Vidova Gora. From Bol the hike takes from 2-3 hours depending on your pace, but the view is spectacular. Or you can choose to make the trip up to the top by car and enjoy the view as well. Or choose to spend the day discovering more beaches on this beautiful island. This morning you will transfer to the most stunning island in Croatia, Hvar. The most buzzed about island in Europe is also one of the most beautiful. Covered in lavender and rosemary fields, olive and fig trees the island is the sunniest destination in the Adriatic so enjoy the warm Mediterranean sun and breeze as you lay on the island’s secluded beaches or one of the pebble beaches. The charming town is also a great place to stop in a café for a coffee or to people watch. Overnight in Hvar. (B)
Today is another day of leisure on Hvar for you to spend as you wish. Continue your search for the most beautiful beach or choose to spend the day on Hvar itself enjoying the rosemary and lavender fields on the island. Sample the flavorful local wines and olive oil in local vineyards and enjoy a private dinner or try a local restaurant for the mouthwatering cuisine. Or take an optional trip to the island of Vis to discover unspoiled beaches and natural Mediterranean beauty. Overnight in Hvar. (B)
This morning transfer to the island of Korčula, the birthplace of Marco Polo. This beautiful town is known for its brightly colored red roofs which stand out against the fiercely blue sea. Stroll along the streets of the city and visit the cultural and historical monuments. See the Treasury of the Abbey, the City Museum, the Museum of Icons, as well as other places of interest. Also take an optional visit to a wine cellar for a private tasting or choose to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant for a taste of the island’s specialties.. Overnight in Korčula. (B)
Today you have several options. Stay on Korčula and try some sailing around the island or dive into the sea to discover an archeological site or underwater caves. Discover the sandy or pebble beaches on the island. Or take an optional trip to Mljet a quiet, transfixing island with historic attractions. According to legend, Odysseus stayed with Calypso on Mljet during his return from the Trojan War. The 22-mile-long, 2-mile-wide Island is green along its coast and hills, with a national park comprising a third of the island. The Green Island has something for everyone, beautiful walk paths and bicycle tracks, hundreds of unrevealed bathing spots, and many beaches including Saplunara beach and many more attractions like the unavoidable Ulysses Cave. Discover Dubrovnik’s fascinating walled city, and then bask in the splendor of its ancient art and culture as well as its fabulous architecture. The over a thousand year old history of Dubrovnik is visible in every part of this city. The city is a living museum and a live stage, and has an ideal connection between its historical past and the modern day. It is surrounded by medieval walls that are 1940 meters long and are preserved in their original form. They are open to visitors and are the city’s greatest attraction.
