The island of Vis is one of the most remote of all Adriatic islands, an island considered to be a jewel already by the ancient Greeks. On the remains of the old Greek settlements we today find the towns of Komiža and Vis. After a pleasant sail we will arrive to the islet of Biševo, part of the archipelago surrounding Vis. The attraction of Biševo is the “Blue Cave”. The cave is a natural phenomenon which can be entered only by small fishermen’s’ boats. The cave itself is quite spacious and offers an unforgettable experience especially the light effect created by the sun reflecting in the cave through the sea. We continue to Komiža, whose inhabitants are believed to be the best fishermen on the Adriatic. So there is no surprise that we find a Fisherman’s Museum here. The museum itself is located in a fortified building from the XVI century that was used for defense against the Turks. After the visit enjoy some free time for strolling around or maybe a swim. Ferry transfer to Dubrovnik. Afternoon at leisure. The over a thousand year old history of Dubrovnik is visible in every part of this city.
